This page is for those who have a story to tell about the real and other side of the proverbial rainbow... It's rarely a pot of gold, sorry...IT IS WHAT IT IS!
After a quarter of a century, it's time to bring closure to this promise I made to a friend. Some readers will call this story 'Hog Wash'. But regardless of what anybody thinks...
Here it is! Believe it or not.
Author's note of disclosure; I am not a professional writer. In fact I have zero degrees in any form of editorial studies. I consider myself at best, "a self taught publisher" Nevertheless, I will try my best to tell this true story of the ugly side of Titanic's so called "Ship of dreams" (from a true survivor's view) and a good friend of mine, Millvina E. G. Dean.

Youngest Titanic survivor Millvina Dean, with her good lifelong friend, Bruno Nordmanis and her event coordinator and publisher, Perry Duquette. Posed here having lunch at her England home in 1998.
Author's note: For those who are still trying to solve the mystery of the so called "Titanic's mystery light" look no further! and check this out. Mystery lights revealed?
Titanic leaving South Hampton Millvina E.G.Dean with P. Duquette
TITANIC! What can be said or written about it? Well just when you think you heard everything about it, there is more! Millvina Elizabeth Gladys Dean was the youngest Titanic survivor. In 1998 during a signing exhibition in Red Deer Alberta Canada, (see photo of Millvina and her event coordinator Perry Duquette) she invited me to her home in England and to my surprise, appointed me as her event coordinator. This was the beginning of a journey that I will never forget. During the next few years that followed, I was an art publisher and released five Titanic limited edition print series all signed by her. During an interview at her home, I informed her that I would like to write and publish an autobiography of her story in a book called “Titanic The Aftermath” While she agreed and was pleased about it, said on only one condition which was, and I quote her very words…”Very well, but I don’t want it released while I’m still up and kicking” and added “Wait till I’m with my family again” end of quote. Up until now, I never had the time to write it, but I am now retired and have the time to bring closure to it once and for all. You see. The reason why Millvina was opposed to me releasing it while she was alive, is the very ugly truths about the aftermath of the sinking, and surprisingly had nothing to do with the ship, but the sad truth of those all around her. This opened my eyes to the ugliness of the fat cats and their exploitation of the survivors and the tragedy and what she really thought about it all. In any case and as promised to my so loved and missed best friend, although all these years have come to pass, I believe it's time to bring closure and put it in writing...better late than never.
I am dedicating this book, 'in the making' to you Ms. Millvina Elizabeth Gladys Dean...Your ship has sailed a long timed ago and It brings me peace to know that you are with your family. May you and your family Rest In Peace.
Perry Duquette
